Felted Elf Ornament Class

The League of NH Craftsmen - Meredith Fine Craft Gallery invites you to participate in our Felted Elf Ornament class taking place on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 12:30PM – 4:30PM. In this class, students will learn the basics of the felting process while having fun creating and decorating their own beautiful felted Elf Ornament with hands-on instruction from League-juried fiber artist, Carolyn Wright. During this 4 hour class students will learn how to make a felted elf ornament that can be the start of your new obsession! No experience is necessary. Carolyn, a self taught felter, began felting after she saw a book with felted animals on it and fell in love with the craft. Using straight needles with barbs cut along the shaft, Carolyn creates wonderful animals, dragons, and other fantastic creatures. Using wool from various farms around NH her creations are whimsical renditions of every day creatures. Bunnies with market baskets, dragons with bodies that resemble squash, dogs, sheep, and, in the Gallery right now, a large Rams’ head with glass eyes who goes by the name of Ferdinand. This beginner class is a great way to introduce students to this wonderful craft. Tuition is $25.00. Pre-registration is required. There is a $12.00 materials fee to be paid to the instructor the day of the class. Space is limited so sign up today!
