Celebrate with your Valentine with dinner and a production of this Pulitzer Prize nominated play Love Letters. Center Sandwich, NH, – Off The Dock Players will present A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters Feb. 11th, 18th and 19th, 2017.
The play begins in 1937 and spans fifty years of a lifetime of love and loss as two affluent East Coasters put their dreams, failures, political aspirations, divorce, love affairs to ink.
Over the two weekends surrounding Valentine’s Day, The Corner House Inn (located next to the theater) in collaboration with Off the Dock Players will offer a pre fixe 3 course dinner followed by Love Letters. An ideal dinner/theater Valentine date.
On Saturday, February 11th and Saturday, February 18th, the evening begins with dinner at the Corner House Inn (22 Main St, Center Sandwich,NH) at 5:30 pm and just a few steps from the door the show begins at 7:00 pm at the Arts Center (12 Main St.); and Sunday February 19, Brunch begins at 12:30 pm and show at 2:00 pm.

Meet the actors: REBECCA COLE (Melissa Gardner) returns to the theatre after a 30-year hiatus. She left with a Jefferson Award nomination for Best Actress in Lunching in Chicago to pursue a career in urban landscape and design in New York City. Now a dual resident of Sandwich and New York she is thrilled to return to the theatre for this production of Love Letters. Many will recognize her from her years on television including appearances on Oprah, The View, and as the lifestyle contributor for Today Show and as the host/designer of 200 episodes of Discovery Channel’s Surprise by Design. Her award winning garden design books speak fondly of her love of the Lakes Region.
HANK OFFINGER (Andrew Makepeace Ladd III) has frequently performed in New York City including the International Fringe Festival, Looking Glass Forum, Queens Players, American Theater of Actors, Strawberry One Act Festival, The Players Theatre, Midtown Theater Festival, Lower Eastside Theater Festival, Manhattan Repertory Theatre. He won the Best Actor Award for the role of Walter in Walter Lawrence at the Chain Theatre Festival. Television credits include Investigation Discovery’s Mansions and Murders and Deadly Devotion and the TV pilot Teachers (3070 Productions). Film credits: numerous roles in independent films including Dead Eye (Rubicon Features). He has had a house in Sandwich for close to 20 years, moving there full-time in 2014. Hank started Off the Dock Players with Rebecca Cole and director Nancy Blaine.
The Center Sandwich performance of Love Letters will be held at the Arts Center at 12 Main Street. Dinner and Brunch at The Corner House Inn, next door, at 22 Main Street.
