Description
Join Master Herbalist Nathan Searles in an eye opening class on how to identify, practice sustainable harvesting and the uses of several native species of medicinal mushrooms. This is an open discussion class intended to introduce each individual to both the ecological and health benefits of these extraordinary beings. Refreshments served - this class runs approximately 2 hours and is free to all. Nathan Searles has been studying herbal medicine since around 2007 and received his certification as a Master Herbalist in 2011. In 2013 while attending the International Herb Symposium in Norton, Mass he was bit by two nymph ticks and began experiencing lime like symptoms. After some consideration he opted out of conventional medical treatment to explore the possibilities for herbal treatment with traditional methods. It was during this time that native medicinal mushrooms and their potential caught his attention, and in the five years since he has dedicated his work to studying and researching these native wonders.
