How might you bring the qualities and connection of live in-person sessions to Zoom? You can help your participants enjoy the new world of teaching! Achieving this requires creative touches, outside the box thinking, smart camera angles, appropriate lighting, engaging background and attire. In this workshop we will cover: Setting the “stage” of your Zoom class for maximum student viewing engagement. Managing how you deliver questions and instruction to help students relax and focus. Vocal technique. What do you sound like? Modulating vocal dynamics like a good storyteller will keep participants listening intently. Look at students. Yes, you can! Manage your equipment to let students know you are there for THEM, not a gallery of participants. Your slides: how to avoid the dreaded, snooze inducing white and blue Powerpoint slides.
