Wangari Fahari

Kenyan born singer Wangari Fahari is an Afro Jazz vocalist who pours her heart into every note she sings she has a purity and sensitivity in her voice that is clear and evident from the moment she begins to sing. Mentored by two of the most powerful female singers of all time (Joan Baez/Mariam Makeba) Wangari has been entrusted with the responsibility of not just singing, but singing with the intention and vision that will help bring positive change to the world and ourselves. A Listening Room Experience

Hermit Woods is excited to bring talented artists from across New England and beyond to perform for you. We hope to provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the artists. To do this, we ask that our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow both the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments.

All shows commence at 6:00 PM with a warm-up artist. We encourage you to arrive early and enjoy food and wine until 7:20 while listening to our first act of the evening. The kitchen will close at 7:00. We will introduce the featured artists at 7:20, and we will ask that the audience remain quiet during their performance. The first set will be from 7:30 to 8:15. There is a short intermission from 8:15 to 8:30, at which time you are encouraged to interact, freshen your drinks, and use the restrooms as needed. At 8:30, the show resumes with the second set, concluding between 9:00 and 9:15. After the show, we invite you to interact with the artists and purchase any music or merchandise offerings if available.
