DESCRIPTION:This Series runs from January 8\, 2020 - February 12\, 2020\n\n\n\nWe will take the first 5 weeks to break down the postures used during a typical yoga class. We will work with pranayama (breath)\, asana (postures) and alignment for safety.\n\n\n\nWeek 1 - Breath\, Child's Pose\, Table\, Cat/Cow\n\n\n\nWeek 2 - Breath\, Mountain Pose\, Forward Fold\, Down Dog\n\n\n\nWeek 3 - Breath\, Warrior 1\, 2 & 3 plus Sun Salutation A\n\n\n\nWeek 4 - Breath\, Balance Postures and Sun Salutations\n\n\n\nWeek 5 - Breath\, Seated Postures and Twists\n\n\n\nWeek 6 - One Hour Flow class using breath and postures covered in first five weeks.\n\n\n\nWe will learn specific posture alignment\, safe ways to do postures and explore what yoga means to you.\n\n\n\nWe will:\n\n Teach safety of alignment\n Break postures down so that you will be able to feel strong and confident in the posture\n Teach breathing techniques and connect breath to movement\n Hold space so that each student feels their practice come alive\n\n\n\nWho will benefit from this beginner series?\n\n The person new to yoga and uncomfortable with a flow class\n The person with an established practice who wants to break the postures down to understand them better\n Anyone who is interested in learning about themselves and yoga\n\n\n\n\n\nThis series was generously shared by Sheryl Gauthier\, Yoga from the Heart\, Laconia NH\n\n\n\n Preregistration is required.
