Energy consumption, distribution and generation in modern Industry 4.0  facilities continues to be of paramount importance.  Today, data can be put to work in more intelligent and continuous ways in than ever before. Not only as a cost cutting endeavor, but also to improve operations and reduce energy losses, reduce maintenance expenditure and down time, expand capacity, and additional operational metrics.

This will be an open educational presentation and discussion about major trends and issues in how energy efficiency is imagined and realized  in ever more smart and interconnected facilities. The emphasis will be on how vast amounts of data can be leveraged,  allowing faster and more accurate predictions and assessment of the operational state and energy consumption patterns, including machine learning/AI and IoT that are coming to define contemporary industrial practice.
