Pottery Bowl Basket Class with Jean Reed

Spend a few creative hours with us at The League of NH Craftsmen – Meredith Fine Craft Gallery on Thursday, July 25th, 2019, from 9 AM to 5 PM to master the art of Pottery Bowl Basket making in this Pottery Bowl Basket Class with instructor, Jean Reed. Exquisite hand thrown pottery bowls will act as the base for your art project. This is a free-form type of weaving, done with dyed and natural reed, sea grasses, and fibers. You will construct your basket with twining and tapestry techniques. Rims will be discussed. Some embellishments will be available. Students are urged to bring feathers, beads, buttons, and other items along to personalize their basket. No two pieces of pottery are alike and all are unique. No previous weaving experience is needed. Students will need to bring a hand towel, scissors, a spray bottle and a bagged lunch. Tuition is $90.00 per student. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
